Tess Anderson
|
Tess started at NRAO in the fall of 2022 in Socorro, NM, and is currently the Engineering Process and Project Coordinator. Although DSOC is her home base, her schedule is flexible and includes time WFH and at the VLA site. It is easiest to reach her by email or Slack. When not at work, Tess, KJ5DCM, can be found working with the local amateur radio club (SARA), gardening, and tending to her ever-changing crew of critters. She and her partner are (slowly) renovating an 1880s adobe farmhouse in San Antonio. As an Ombud, Tess is there to listen and provide perspective to employees facing workplace uncertainty by clarifying issues, evaluating concerns, and identifying paths to resolution while remaining impartial and independent of formal management channels. |

Eddie Sanchez
|
Eddie has been with the Front End team in the Electronics Division since joining NRAO in Socorro in 2018. Eddie is at the VLA site Monday through Wednesday and typically works at the AOC on Thursdays. His key role is being a first respond individual to any issues related to the receivers. In his spare time, Eddie enjoys hiking, weekend-get away trips, and staying busy with home projects. Also, on the weekends, you might catch Eddie playing bass guitar with his rock band, The Rhythm Prophets, at any of the local area music venues. He also claims to be a fantastic cook, and, if you happen to find his social media, there are dishes that look amazing. We’ll take his word! As a Ombuds representative, Eddie plans on being there for the individuals at the VLA and also making them aware of available resources. |

Jason Everett
|
Jason Everett is currently the Fire Chief at the Very Large Array (VLA) and Emergency Services Manager for the National Radio Astronomy Observatory (NRAO). He also serves as the Chair of the Socorro County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) and is a Senior EMT Instructor for the UNM EMS Academy. He retired from a 20-year career at Vashon Island Fire and Rescue (VIFR) located on an island outside of Seattle and was a fire and EMT instructor for his department as well as for King County Medic One. He is a parent and grandparent and spends his off-time gardening, composing and producing music, and advocating for improvements to New Mexico’s emergency response capabilities |

Dane Sizemore |
Dane has a long history with the GBO, first working at the site in 1997 as summer help for Facilities and Maintenance. Twenty years later, he joined the Software team, where he develops code and documentation. He is proud to have been to the edge of the dish on both the 140' and 300' telescopes. Outside of work, he plays the guitar and chess. He is also lifelong martial arts student and currently teaches a local class. Dane is grateful to serve the uniquely talented people that work at GBO, using the role of Ombuds as a way to fulfill the Taekwon-Do ideal of building a more peaceful world. |

Riley Dunnagan
|
Riley first came to GBO in 2019 as a summer student and was hired as a full-time employee in late 2024. She started in the GBO Director’s Office before moving into Spectrum Management mid-2025, working with the National Radio Quiet Zone office of NRAO. Riley also assists with EMS around GBO and participates with the rope rescue team on site.
When not at work, Riley enjoys a variety of hobbies and activities. From hiking and playing board games to repairing clocks and “vintage” gizmos and gadgets, she claims that anything can become a passionate hobby with the right excitement. Riley ultimately likes to be a helping hand whenever and however the opportunity arises, and she looks forward to contributing to the Ombuds team and supporting her colleagues and friends.

Andy Lipnicky
|
Andy joined NRAO in 2017 as a Data Analyst in the NAASC after graduating with a Ph.D. from Rochester Institute of Technology studying the dynamics of dwarf galaxies. They then moved to a Scientist position in 2022. Currently, Andy is the science lead for telescope calibration of ALMA as well as the North American lead for the ALMA Science Archive. They are also actively involved in the development work required to bring the Wideband Sensitivity Upgrade (WSU) to life through detailed investigations and updating our observation strategies. When not at work, you will likely find Andy at a local climbing gym where they enjoy recreational and competitive bouldering. |

Sarah Bagley

Sarah has been a Data Analyst for the NAASC since 2013. Her main priorities are maintaining the ALMA Science help desk and quality assurance of ALMA data. Her hobbies include video games and painting miniatures. Sarah joined Ombuds at NRAO in order to help assist her co-workers and improve the work environment at NRAO for everyone. |

Tatiana Ferro

Tatiana Ferro has been with CDL for about three years. She has been providing documentation support to multiple groups at CDL. When not at work, Tatiana supports her family restaurant business, likes travelling, and explores local cuisines and cultures. As an Ombud, Tatiana hopes to be a resource available to her co-workers who they can confide in and discuss any pressing issues. |
