Reimbursement information
Information About Travel Support
The NAC program is pleased to be able to provide workshop travel support for 2016 NAC IV Cohort students.
Due to limited funding, mentors, advisory board members, and invited speakers and guests are asked to cover their own expenses if at all possible. If you do not have funds available, please contact Lyndele (lvonschi@nrao.edu) by August 15th.
Deadline
Due to end of fiscal year closing, requests for reimbursement (including signed Travel Expense Vouchers) must be received by Friday, September 16th.
2016 NAC IV Students
All NAC IV Cohort students should have received this link to register for the workshop. Following receipt of this registration, students will be contacted to make pre-paid travel arrangements. In addition to travel expenses, NAC IV Cohort students are eligible for:
- Two nights (9/9 and 9/10) at the Cambria Suites Hotel in Washington, DC. Students should plan to share a room.
- Continental breakfast (Saturday and Sunday), breaks, lunch on Saturday
- If you are flying into DCA, we will either prepay, and forward to you, a shuttle reservation from the airport to the hotel, or will ask you to take the metro. We will organize shuttles from Howard to the airport on Sunday. Depending upon your departure time, you may have a wait at the airport.
- If for some reason you purchased your own flight tickets, we will reimburse non-reimbursable, coach class airfare purchased at least two weeks before travel.
Commuting and all NAC student alumnae
- If you are commuting between Maryland and Howard, NRAO can reimburse your mileage and parking fees. Please keep all receipts for parking, and send them to Lyndele at the end of the workshop.
- Continental breakfast (Saturday and Sunday), breaks, lunch on Saturday
- A Saturday evening NAC Student Cohort group activity - let Joyce know if you'd like to participate
