Diversity and Inclusion Training FY2019

Important note: The following sessions are heavily based, with permission, on the UNEION: UCAR/NCAR Equity and Inclusion 4-part training program. A substantial portion of the format and materials are borrowed from UNEION, with gratitude for the work of UCAR/NCAR staff in developing this program.

The following Training sessions will be offered between November, 2018 and February, 2019, and are open to interested NRAO and AUI staff. However, because these sessions are primarily intended for Employee Diversity Group (EDG) members, there are limited spaces available. Registration is required. The time commitment for each session is approximately 3 hours (~1 hour preparation + 2 hours in-session).

The training is offered in 'flipped classroom" format, which requires reading and viewing material before the training takes place. Please click on the Session to learn more about scheduling, materials, and registration.

Session I: Identities, Privilege, and Unconscious Bias

Session 2: Gender

Session 3: Race

Session 4: Microaggressions and Bystander Intervention
