Basic Windows Printing
Click "Start," then click "Run" in the Start Menu that pops up.
Enter "\\PrinterFileServerName" in the "Open" box. For example, "\\cv-er-printa"
A pop-up window displays all printers connected to the network through Windows Active Directory.
Right click on the printer of choice, and select "Connect" which adds it to your computer's Windows printers list.
When you select the "Print" option from your document, this printer should appear in the "Printer Name" drop-down menu.
Select a Default Printer
Click "Start" , then click "Printers and Faxes" in the Start Menu that pops up.
Right click on the printer of choice and select "Set as Default Printer."
Add Additional Printers
Click "Start" and enter "\\cv-er-printa" in the search box at the bottom of the window.
Right-click the printer you wish to add and select "Connect" from the drop-down menu.
Any necessary drivers will automatically download at this time. The printer will then show as an available printer when printing from an application like Powerpoint.
