Open Enrollment is Now Available!

Please access your benefits enrollment process through Employee Self Services.  ALL employees will need to go through the system and verify their information and enrollments.

Some helpful tips:

  • Even if declining coverage, you must go through and select coverage for yourself.  The next screens will give you the option to decline.
  • The system does not save.  If you exit, your changes will be lost; however, it should only take you a few minutes to complete.
  • Check your email (possibly SPAM) for your final confirmation. This is your proof of enrollment for the year.
  • Please try to only go through once. If you have to return to the system and go through again, let us know.

AUI and Observatory management continue to work to improve our benefits program while maintaining a sustainable benefits budget. After careful consideration of the impacts of increased medical expenses on the benefits budget, we have determined an increase in employee premiums and an increase to out of pocket maximums is necessary. We have simplified the portal to only include medical, dental, and vision. All employees will be required to go through the process to verify personal information as well as medical, dental, and vision elections.

If you wish to make changes to your HSA, 403b, life insurance, or elect Aflac (Accident and/or Critical Illness) please contact Sarah Arnold for applicable forms.

IMPORTANT: Aflac elections can only be made during open enrollment or with a qualifying event.


VISION COVERAGE: Vision coverage will continue with Cigna in 2018. Premiums will remain the same. Below are the list of Cigna providers by State. Summary of coverage is available under the Resources tab.

DENTAL COVERAGE: Dental coverage will continue with Delta Dental. There will be a 2.7% increase to premiums. Summary of coverage for both the Comprehensive and Basic plans is available under the Resources tab.

NEW VOLUNTARY RETIREMENT PLAN - 403b Roth option available beginning January 2018. More information to come in a December education session.

ALL BENEFITS ELIGIBLE EMPLOYEES WILL BE REQUIRED TO LOG IN AND UPDATE PERSONAL AND DEPENDENT INFORMATION IN THE ELECTRONIC ENROLLMENT SYSTEM, WHETHER OR NOT YOU ARE MAKING CHANGES TO YOUR PLANS. IF YOU DO NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE BENEFITS PLANS, YOU MUST GO THROUGH THE PROCESS TO CONFIRM NON-PARTICIPATION AND ENSURE THAT YOUR CONTACT/EMERGENCY CONTACT INFORMATION IS CURRENT.
