Open Enrollment October 15th through November 2nd

Please access your benefits enrollment process through Employee Self Services.  ALL employees will need to go through the system and verify their information and enrollments. An email will be sent to staff when the electronic process is available.

The electronic portal will include medical, dental, and vision. All employees will be required to go through the process to verify personal information as well as medical, dental, and vision elections. Since we are changing vendors, all employees will be required to re-verify all dependent information. Due to privacy policies, Cigna will not release dependent data.

Some helpful tips:

  • Even if declining coverage, you must go through and select coverage for yourself.  The next screens will give you the option to decline coverage.
  • The system does not save.  If you exit the process, your input will be lost; however, it should only take you a few minutes to complete.
  • Check your email (including Junk or Spam folders) for your final confirmation. This is your proof of enrollment for the year.
  • We request that you complete the process only once. If you have to return to the system and go through a second time to correct information, send Sarah Arnold a note. Be sure to specify the date of the process that should be used.

NEW! AUI and Observatory management continue to work to improve our benefits program while maintaining a sustainable benefits budget. Through interviews, vetting of financials, assessment of carrier capabilities, customer service, network availability, and administrative fees, the AUI Benefits Committee has recommended, and AUI Leadership has approved, moving our medical coverage from Cigna to Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield (BC/BS) effective January 1, 2019. The Anthem plan design will remain a high deductible plan, with the same plan design elements.

NEW! Life Insurance and Long Term Disability (LTD) coverage will transition to Lincoln effective January 1, 2019. The Life Insurance and LTD rates will decrease slightly. For information on rates, please click here . Summary of benefits is available here.
